Big Month

Well, this has been a big month for Natalie.
You can check out a slideshow I made from some pictures this month at http://secure.smilebox.com/ecom/openTheBox?sendevent=4d6a637a4e6a45310a&sb=1

  • She took her first trip to Florida and went swimming for the first time. She loved it and was splashing and kicking like crazy. It was a blast watching her.

  • She experienced her first Christmas presents. All she wanted to do was eat the wrapping paper, she was very good at that.

  • She sat on Santa's lap for the first time. James' work had a party with Mr. and Mrs. Clause. She was very interested in his beard and played with that for most of the time.

  • We decorated the tree and, again, all she wanted to do was eat the lights and garland. She felt the tree and DID NOT like the way it felt. She made the funniest face and would not touch it again. She's never refused to touch something and put it in her mouth, the tree was the first exception.

  • She ate her first vegetable. I made homemade organic green beans. She wasn't sure at first but now she eats them like a champ.

  • She's sitting up and playing now, she still topples over some times but she's pretty sturdy for the most part.

  • Natalie is officially pushing up on her hands and knees. She gets up, rocks back and forth, and then plops back down on her tummy. She will be crawling before we know it.

We can't believe how fast Natalie is changing. We already miss that tiny baby stage and it's only been 6 months. We love her so much and every night before bed we go in her room and watch her sleep. She's so cute!!

Well, if I don't write again, Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

Here We Go

Well, I decided that I'm going to start a blog to record all the wonderful events happening in the Chalmers' household. Some of my friends have a blog and it's a great way to keep others connected to everything going on. I'm writing this and I really have no idea what's going to happen once I hit the "publish" button but I guess I'll learn fast. Okay, that's it for now. I'm going to continue exploring this new thing called a "blog". :)
